Op dinsdag 1 juli om 8 uur ’s ochtends wordt er ontbeten door ondernemers, kunstenaars en wetenschappers in het voormalige Akzopand aan de Velperweg. Op de zesde verdieping van dit gemeentemonument heeft het team van The Building een bijzondere setting gemaakt voor een bijzonder ontbijt. Kunstenaars, directeuren, professoren en ambtenaren, 24 in getal, zitten gezamenlijk aan tafel om tijdens het ontbijt te spreken over taal en de misverstanden die daar uit voortkomen, kortom spraakverwarring.
Wie zijn er nu het meest daadkrachtig in hun taalgebruik en wie het wolligst? Is de kunstenaars het meest filosofisch, de wetenschapper het meest analytisch en de ondernemer het kortst door de bocht? Deze en andere vragen zijn onderwerp van gesprek.
At Tuesday July 1st at 8:00 AM businessmen, artist and scientists have their breakfast in the former AKZO-building at the Velperweg. On the sixth floor of this momument the team of The Building has made a special setting for a special breakfast. 24 people are joined around the table to discuss during breakfast about language and its misunderstandings, a confusion of tongues.
Who are the most decisive and who are the most indistinct in their use of language? Is the artist the most philosophic, the scientist the most analytic and the businessman the most dynamic? These and other questions are being discussed.
